The EURC-EAB develops and provides practical tools, and promotes existing ones, to support the conservation of endangered breeds and the preservation of their genetic diversity. These tools assist in assessing breed risk status, analysing genetic diversity, identifying population relatedness, and evaluating breeding programmes. They are designed to support breed societies, designated organisations, and authorities in planning and implementing effective conservation measures.
